Ronald A. Brophy Sr., of New Windsor NY, peacefully entered into eternal rest surrounded by his loving family on March 25, 2022. The son of the Late Ralph and Theresa Brophy. Ron was born on October 8, 1943 in Newburgh, New York. Ron spent much of his career as the Vice President of Windsor Metal Fabricators. He was a longtime member of Sacred Heart Church in Newburgh, The St. Vincent DePaul Society, The Knights of Columbus, and The Sons of Thunder. He was also a past President of New Windsor Little League. Ron was a devout Catholic and devoted husband. He loved his wife, children, grandchildren, and his dog Niko. He is survived by his loving wife and best friend, JoAnn. His son Ronald and his wife Holly. His daughter Teresa and her husband Rob. His grandsons: Donovan Brophy, Payton Brophy, Michael Carton, and Matthew Carton. His step-grandsons, Christian and Nicholas Fallone. His nephews, Jess Mekeel and Joseph Sylvester. His Niece, Olivia Sylvester. His Brother in law, Anthony (Maria) Sylvester and his Sister in law, Maria (Hal) Mekeel. He was predeceased by his brother Ralph Brophy. A celebration of life memorial mass will be held at a later date. Arrangements are entrusted under the care of Anthony V. Cracolici of the Hudson Valley Funeral Home Inc. In lieu of flowers, a donation can be made to a charitable organization of your choice. The family is forever grateful to the staff on 2 North, at St. Luke’s Hospital, for their compassion and care.
