Joanne Kapuscinski McCormick of Newburgh New York passed away on Friday, July 27th, 2018 surrounded by her family. She was the daughter of the late Theodore and Betty Kapuscinski, born on April 19th, 1960 in Brooklyn, NY. Joanne married Robert McCormick on June 25, 1983, and together built a beautiful life in Cornwall NY with their children actively participating in all of their activities. Joanne enjoyed being with friends and family, especially her beloved animals, dog Oliver and cat Olive. She enjoyed yearly beach vacations and camping with family and friends throughout her lifetime. Her greatest joys in life were her three grandchildren, Calli, Brady and Adalyn Balcombe. She is survived by her children, Jaclyn (Evan) Balcombe, Bobby McCormick, grandchildren: Calli, Brady and Adalyn Balcombe, ex-husband Bob McCormick and partner Kevin Shaw. Visitation will be Thursday, August 2nd from 5-7pm at Hudson Valley Funeral Home 239 Quassaick Avenue (Rte94) New Windsor, NY, with a service officiated by Rev. Patricia Calahan at 6:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Cornwall Backpacks For Food.
