Obituary of Enoch E. Whitfield

ENOCH E. WHITFIELD August 10, 1958 - February 2, 2018 New Windsor, NY Enoch E. Whitfield of New Windsor, NY a retired Police Sergeant for the MTA and area resident for 28 years, passed away on February 2, 2018, at St. Luke’s Cornwall Hospital; he was 59. Enoch is the son of Lauran Ann Bailey of Bronxville, NY. He was born on August 10, 1958, in Manhattan, NY. He was a member of the Air National Guard. Affectionately known as “Pizzaman” Enoch was the pillar of his of his family. Enoch loved watching his daughters dance and compete in Crossfit. He enjoyed trips in his RV, meeting new people, the shooting range, and visiting Charlotte, NC’s local craft breweries, and Vegan restaurants. He also enjoyed family gatherings and would walk to the end of the earth if you needed him to. Loyal and loving to everyone he encountered, he will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Enoch is survived by his wife, Aida Cruz-Whitfield at home, Ziomara Lee and husband, Alphonsa of Cape Coral, FL; Yessena Whitfield of Charlotte, NC; stepson, Phillip Pizarro and Heather of Cornwall; grandchildren: Shamel, Kiara and Arielle Pizarro; sisters: Laurice Whitfield, Tanya Whitfield, Jarita Lopez, his namesake nephew, Enoch Whitfield, plus a host of nieces and nephews. Enoch was preceded in death by his son, Javier Whitfield and his sister, Rhonda Lee “Nonnie” Whitfield. Visitation will be on from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, February 7 at Hudson Valley Funeral Home, 239 Quassaick Ave. (Rte 94) New Windsor, and from 11 a.m. to 12 noon, prior to funeral services on Thursday, February 8 at Solid Rock Church, 20 Holloran Rd., New Windsor, NY, from where funeral services will commence at 12 noon, followed by burial in Woodlawn Cemetery New Windsor, NY.
