New Windsor, NY
Susan E. Gaetano of New Windsor, NY, a retired teacher for the Wallkill School district and area resident for 66 years, passed away on Thursday, January 4, 2018, at St. Luke’s Cornwall Hospital, Newburgh. Susan was 66; the daughter of the late James V. and Jane McEnery of Cornwall-on-Hudson, NY. Susan was born on July 30, 1951, in Philadelphia, PA.
Susan dedicated her life to educating children for 41 years. Upon retiring Susan became the coordinator of the Wallkill Central School district mentoring program for new teachers. Susan was loved by all who knew her and will be greatly missed and forever remembered.
She is survived by her husband, Gary J. Gaetano; two sisters, Mary Anne McEnery of Cornwall-on-Hudson, Regina Kelder of Boston, MA; and one brother, James VT. McEnery of Washington State.
Visitation will be held 3 to 6 p.m. on Friday, January 12, 2018, at Hudson Valley Funeral Home, Inc., 239 Quassaick Avenue (Rte94), New Windsor, NY.
Funeral services will follow the visitation at 6 p.m. at the funeral home. Cremation will private at Cedar Hill Cemetery.
