My heart is shattered in a million pieces. So much love for John, Helen and my polka cousin Jessica. I hope John is having all the dessert and resting peacefully in the arms of our Lord.

So many, many wonderful images and memories come to mind when thinking of John — starting with Helen’s and John’s wedding 56 years ago when I was maid of honor:
:
Playing Chopin waltzes from memory on the piano
Joyfully dancing the polka with his beloved Helen
The elegant and beautiful apartment he created in their oceanfront Florida apartment
Gleefully driving his sports car
Meals together filled with his warmth and ready laughter
His generosity
His adoration of and close bond with his treasured daughter Jessica
His deep and enduring love for his wife of 56 years Helen
And so much more
What a beautiful life

Some of my fondest childhood memories are my time spent with the Rymaszewski family. I will always remember John's smile and generosity of spirit. His laughter was infectious and lit up any space you were lucky enough to share with him. He always made me feel welcome and loved. He was a beautiful person through and through and he loved his family fiercely. Since the sixth grade Jessica has been one of my best friends and I spent a lot of time at their house. I am forever grateful to John, Helen and Jessica for making my world a better place. Sending so much love, Jennifer ONeill

It is with a heavy heart that I share these precious memories of John Rymaszewski, collected over many years. John was a dear friend whom we first met at the Polish National Catholic Church in Davie, FL. He and his wife, Helen, quickly became lifelong friends. We spent countless joyful hours together, dancing at the Polish Club in Hollywood, celebrating birthdays with dinners, and socializing in each other's homes.
John was one of the warmest and most compassionate people I have ever known. He was gentle, a great listener, always ready to lend a helping hand, and could brighten anyone's day. He was not only a fantastic Polka dancer but also a talented musician, bringing joy to those around him. He made the world a better place for everyone he encountered.
I am deeply saddened by his passing. I will always cherish the memories and the many happy moments our families shared. Rest in peace, dear friend. Until we meet again.

I remember meeting John when he first started dating my cousin Helen. He was always smiling and laughing and such a happy person. I had a piano in my house and he asked if he could play it. My mother and I said of course and he started playing and we all enjoyed so much.
He loved my mother’s Italian cooking and tried all the dishes she made for Christmas.
Helen and John married and I was in their wedding party. They lived in Huntington LI NY for many years and had my cousin Jessica.
They moved to Florida years later and I went down to visit many times with my daughter Ashley. While Helen was working John would take us all around sightseeing showing us his favorite houses and sights.
We truly loved him as part of our family and he will be missed by us all.

John was a very good friend of mine. I had the pleasure of meeting John and his family for about 12 years. He was the funniest and clumsiest person you would ever meet. If you were having a bad day, he would try to make it better. I am going to really miss him. R.I.P my good friend. You will be missed.

John Rymaszewski was my close friend for the better part of the last 25 years. John was a very special, one of a kind guy. He was a man of love and compassion. He was always there with words of support and encouragement. Our friendship started when I was around 5 years old and despite the large difference in age, it was a friendship that only grew closer over the years, through my teens and into adulthood. John brought an aspect of genuine joy to my life. I'm going to miss the in-depth life discussions, the kindness, the music, the many laughs, and the friendship that we shared. I'm honored to have known him and call him my friend. I will cherish the precious memories with him and his wife Helen for the rest of my life. Rest in peace John, until we meet again.

John was generous, kind, and funny. He made beauty around him. He made my sister happy, and he made their daughter exist!
O Johnny! Heavens above!
The dessert was always light.

John was a very important part of our family. He was very supportive of my husband, Father Tom Sheha, visiting him in hospitals and rehabs. He was always willing to help me with flower arranging for various events I was planning. He was a good friend to our son, Josh, starting when Josh was 5 years old. They were after Mass ''coffee buddies" and that friendship grew and flourished. He was such a kind, sweet man.

So many fond memories of our cousin. He always had time for us and took us many adventures. Fishing , swimming and lots of picnics. His laugh was contagious and his silly nature always made us smile and laugh with him, We also spent time going on Sunday drives which usually ended with ice cream. ❤️
