Bacilio Rodriguez Correa of Newburgh, NY a retired labor worker for regal bag an area resident for over 40 years passed away on Sunday April 12, 2020 at Montefiore St. Luke’s Cornwall Hospital. He is the son of the late Epifania Correa and Francisco Rodriguez. He was born on June 14, 1932 in Maunabo, Puerto Rico. He was a member of St. Patrick’s Church.
Dad had a long rich and full life. He frequently told us stories about how he would travel to New York as a migrate farm worker until he finally settled and brought his family. He enjoyed Salsa and playing the maracas as well as being a practical jokester. He was greatly loved, and his stories will live on through his children and family.
He is survived by his wife Paula Vega Rodriguez, his children Migdalia Rodriguez, Ramon Rodriguez, Juan Rodriguez, Mirilyn Rodriguez-Astacio and Zoilo Rodriguez, Sr.
Grand children: Jaime Torres, Maria Jannette Torres, Magaly Rodriguez, Ramon Rivera, Migdalia Lee Colon, Milagros Astacio, Pedro F. Astacio Jr., Mikaila Astacio, Milaina Astacio, Zoilo Rodriguez Jr., 10 great grandchildren.
Brothers and sisters: Bacilia Rodriguez, Teofilio Rodriguez, Francisco Rodriguez, Fidel Rodriguez, Maria Rodriguez, Thomas Rodriguez, Ramon Solibaies-Ortiz, Emilo Rodriguez, Nalisa Rodriguez Martina Rodriguez, Jacinto Rodriguez, Zoilo Rodriguez and Fidela Rodriguez.
