Obituary of Antonio Guerriero

Antonio Guerriero, a loving husband, father and Papa passed away on February 2, 2024. Tony was born in Mugnano, Italy on January 21, 1947 to Maria and Nunzio Guerriero. On April 11, 1970, he married Sabatina DeGennaro, who survives at home. Tony retired from IBM in 1993, where he was a computer programmer for 25 years. He then went on, with his wife Tina, to own and operate Quality Dry Cleaners in Highland, NY for 20 years. Tony proudly served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War in the 1st Air Cavalry Division – The First Team, where he earned a Bronze Star Medal. Tony enjoyed working around his home and working in his garage (which was built to house his “baby”, a 2004 Moch 1 Mustang). In addition to his wife Tony is survived by his son, Nunzio Guerriero and his wife, Gina and his daughter Maria Guerriero and her husband, Tim and his grandchildren, Anthony, Joseph and Nina. Tony was predeceased by his parents, his sister, Carmela Schettini and his brothers, Neil Guerriero and Phil Guerriero. Visitation will be from 4 pm to 7 pm on Wednesday, February 7th, at Hudson Valley Funeral Home, 239 Quassaick Ave., New Windsor, NY 12553. A funeral mass will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, February 8th, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 301 Ann St., Newburgh, NY 12550. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude’s Childrens Hospital at stjude.org.
