Robert Smith “aka Bobby”, entered into eternal rest on Wednesday January 18, 2023 at the Sapphire Nursing Home Newburgh, NY. He was 76. Robert was born on September 8, 1946 to the late Robert J. Smith and Rita V. Green Smith in Newburgh, NY. Robert resided at The Greater Hudson Valley NY Brady IRA in Newburgh, NY prior to entering the nursing home. Robert was a very friendly person that liked when people held conversations with him. Robert lived the majority of his life at GHV Newburgh IRA in Newburgh, NY; where his favor past time was sitting on his back deck watching the boats on the Hudson River while drinking his coffee. Robert loved watching TV and movies especially if airplanes and helicopters were in it. Robert leaves to cherish his memories, his sister Mary Jo Smith of Washingtonville, NY and The Arc Greater Hudson Valley NY committee, his extended family. A celebration of Bobby’s life will be held on Thursday January 26, 2023 from 12 to 1pm with a funeral service to follow at Hudson Valley Funeral Home, Inc. 239 Quassaick Avenue New Windsor, NY. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery New Windsor, NY.
