Sherman D. Smith of New Windsor, NY passed away on Friday December 16, 2022 at New York Presbyterian Hospital in New York City. Sherman was born on February 3, 1950 in Uniontown, Pennsylvania to Bessie and Abe Smith.
Sherman attended both Temple and Fordham and was a cost accountant and comptroller in manufacturing. Sherman was a member of Congregation Schomre Israel in Poughkeepsie and Congregation Agudas Israel in Newburgh.
Sherman leaves behind his dear wife Phyllis (Berkowitz), his brother Dr. I Sanford Smith (Judy), his niece Adira (Scott) Bagoon and nephew Scott (Channah) Smith and his precious Prinnie (Princess).
Services will be held 11 am Monday December 19, 2022 at Hudson Valley Funeral Home, Inc. 239 Quassaick Avenue New Windsor, NY 12553 with interment at Congregation Agudas Cemetery on Erie Avenue, New Windsor, NY officiated by Rabbi Shlomo Krasner. Shiva will be at the Smith residence
