Obituary of Teresa M. Albaugh

Teresa Marie Albaugh, a long-time resident of New Windsor, New York, passed away on February 16, 2025. She was a caring wife, stepmother, aunt, and friend to many throughout her 71 years on this Earth and lived a life filled with love and kindness. Born in Brooklyn, New York on March 31, 1953, Teresa was the second child and first girl to Rosalie and John Kelly, Sr. A Rockland County native in her youth and a graduate of Spring Valley High School in Spring Valley, New York, Teresa served many different volunteer capacities in the Catholic Church, including working with the Indochinese Refugee Resettlement Offices in the 1970s. Her humility, kindness, and generosity are a testament to her deep devotion to her faith and her desire to make a positive impact on the lives of others. Teresa is survived by her loving husband, Franklin H Albaugh, Jr., her two stepsons, Erik J Albaugh and Gary L Albaugh, her grandchildren Jacob Albaugh, Brandon Albaugh, and Kaitlyn Albaugh. Teresa is also survived by her younger brother, Jayme Kelly, and his children, Lauren Bopp (Kelly) and Kristen Kelly and was preceded in death by her older brother, John Kelly, Jr., and his wife Helen Kelly and their children, Nila Kelly, John Kelly, III, and Lisa Kelly. Visitation Services for family, friends and the community are scheduled for Monday, February 24th from 2pm - 5pm at the Hudson Valley Funeral Home, 239 Quassaick Ave, New Windsor, New York 12553. Funeral Mass will be on Tuesday, February 25th at 11:30am at St. Thomas of Canterbury Roman Catholic Church, 340 Hudson Street, Cornwall on Hudson, New York 12520. Burial will follow at the Woodlawn Cemetery in New Windsor, New York 12553. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to either of these causes that Teresa had a connection to: St. Jude Children's Research Hospital (https://www.stjude.org/) and the Susan G.
